Snow in Southern California

Well here is a first! Snow blanketed the surrounding mountains last night and dusted us pretty good. I am concerned especially how the fruit tree blossoms will fare through all of this, not to mention the tomatoes in the ground and the citrus trees. This could be a major setback in fruit tree production if the blossoms do not survive. Very beautiful, but unsettling to this subtropical gardener.

  1. Wow, I can’t believe there is that much of a difference in temperature between Ramona and Escondido!

We’re sending good vibes to your fruit trees….it’s going to be interesting to see how they deal with it.
