I’ve set a lofty goal for 2011:, to produce over 1,000 pounds of fruits, vegetables and herbs in the calendar year.
The March harvest numbers are in, and they bring the yearly harvest total to just over 40 lbs.
This isn’t going to be a linear harvest by any means, i except most of the yield to start tallying in May thru October. Citrus and greens dominate the harvest. It is nice to be able to go out to the garden and pick a fresh organic salad. The lemon crop is astounding this year, I am really going to have to find innovative ways to preserve, use and store our citrus this year.
