The summer garden is waning, yet I dare not take out some of the tomatoes and peepers because they are still producing. They probably will make it until December/January when the “real” cold weather hits.
This year was the best onion year ever. Period. By far. Dixondale Farms out of Texas was my source for Onion sets and I have already placed a new order for new year (early January delivery). Besides getting stock from a company that has been producing Onions for over 100 years, switching to short-daylength Onions was key to the success.
